About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Installation and Mission Support Center seeks two Skydio X10D 3D Scan Starter multirotor small unmanned aircraft systems with simultaneous line and infrared capability (or equal), with proposals due September 4, 2026, questions due August 19, 2026, and the deadline extended via Amendment 01. This is a 100 percent small business set-aside, foreclosing competition outside that category.
Place of performance is San Antonio, Texas. The required sUAS must weigh 6 pounds or less, deliver true 360-degree obstacle avoidance with sensing range exceeding 40 feet, and feature a primary imaging sensor of at least 48 megapixels on a sensor no smaller than 1 inch capable of producing inspection-grade 3D models and 2D orthomosaics. The system must include a thermal camera displaying 30 milliKelvin temperature differentials, command and control radio range greater than 5 miles, GNSS capability without geofence restrictions, and a sunlight-readable daylight display controller. All salient characteristics defined in Attachment 3 (as updated by Amendment 02) are mandatory minimum thresholds; systems failing to meet any characteristic are technically unacceptable. The platform must comply with NDAA requirements from FY2020 Section 848, FY2023 Section 817, and FY2024 Sections 1821-1833, be listed on the Blue List, and feature encrypted internal disk storage. Included standard components are loudspeaker, dropper, and infrared attachments. The procurement requires perpetual licenses for Skydio 3D Scan and Skydio Autonomy Enterprise (or equivalent software), an RTK/PPK module, a Field Ready Kit with four smart flight batteries, dual rapid charging hub, four propeller sets, and hard-sided case. Delivery is required 145 days after order receipt. NAICS 336411, Aircraft Manufacturing. Evaluation uses Lowest Price Technically Acceptable with two factors: price and technical merit. Technical responses are limited to 10 pages, font no smaller than 12 point. All offerors must be registered in SAM with a CAGE code and UEI number. Offers are valid for 60 calendar days after closing.
