About this file

This is an Amendment 02 attachment defining the salient characteristics for a multirotor small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) procurement by the U.S. Air Force. The Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) requires two Skydio X10D 3D Scan Starter solutions with Spotlight and Infrared capability using the VT300-L configuration, or an "or equal" alternative platform (Solicitation Number: FA805126Q4008). The required sUAS must weigh 6 pounds, provide 360-degree obstacle avoidance with a minimum 40-foot sensing range, and feature a primary imaging sensor of at least 48 megapixels on a sensor no smaller than 1 inch to produce inspection-grade 3D models and 2D orthomosaics. Additionally, the aircraft must include a thermal camera capable of displaying a 30-milliKelvin temperature differential, achieve a command and control radio range exceeding 5 miles, and utilize GNSS positioning without geofence restrictions.

The specified platform must comply with all applicable National Defense Authorization Act requirements, including FY2020 Section 848, FY2023 Section 817, and FY2024 Sections 1821-1833, with listing on the Blue List and encrypted internal storage. The aircraft must include a sunlight-readable controller, onboard loudspeaker, dropper, and spotlight functionality, plus an RTK/PPK module. The complete field-ready kit includes four smart flight batteries, one dual battery rapid charging hub with adapters, four replacement tri-blade propeller sets, and a hard-sided rugged case. Perpetual licenses for both Skydio 3D Scan (autonomous flight planning for 3D volumetric mapping and imagery capture) and Skydio Autonomy Enterprise (AI-driven subject tracking, GPS-denied return-to-home, and autonomous navigation) are required, with "or equal" software alternatives meeting equivalent functional specifications.

FA805126Q4008 Amendment 02 – Attachment 3 – Revision 1 August 24, 2026

Qty 2: Skydio X10D 3D Scan Starter solution with SL AND IR NA VT300-L “or equal” Salient characteristics:

Multirotor sUAS w/ onboard 3D scanning package shall:

1. Weigh ≤6 lbs.

2. Provide true 360-degree obstacle avoidance coverage with greater than 40-foot sensing range.

3. Integrate a primary imaging sensor of at least 48 MP on a sensor no smaller than 1 inch, sufficient to produce inspection-grade 3D models and 2D orthomosaics.

4. A thermal camera that can determine and display a 30milliKelvin temperature difference to the operator.

5. Achieve a C2 radio range greater than 5 miles.

6. Utilize Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) without geofence limitations.

7. Be National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) compliant (Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 NDAA Section 848, FY2023 NDAA Section 817, and FY2024 NDAA Sections 1821-1833), sUAS shall be listed on the Blue List, and feature encrypted internal disk storage.

8. Utilize a controller with a sunlight-readable daylight display suitable for outdoor flight operations in direct sunlight.

9. Includes a loudspeaker, dropper, and spotlight.

10. Have an RTK/PPK module.

11. Include a complete field ready kit. The kit includes, but is not limited to, four (4) flight smart batteries; one (1) dual battery rapid charging hub and adapters; four (4) replacement tri-blade propeller sets; and one (1) hard-sided rugged case.

12. Include a perpetual license for Skydio 3D Scan (or equal). The "equal" software must be an onboard autonomous flight program that allows the operator to define and map a 3D volume of natural or built infrastructure. The drone must then autonomously calculate and execute a dynamic flight path to capture high-resolution imagery with precise gimbal pitch and location metadata optimized for export for third-party photogrammetry processing software

13. Include a perpetual embedded license for Skydio Autonomy Enterprise (or equal). The "equal" software must execute natively on the aircraft's processor to provide AI-driven subject tracking, automated return-to-home in GPS-denied environments, and advanced autonomous navigation without requiring pilot stick input.
