About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration's Southwestern Region is conducting a market survey to procure moving materials, packing, inventory management, disposal of excess property, storage, and relocation services. The project involves relocating operations from 2895 SW 145 Ave Ste 120 in Miramar, Florida to 1600 SW 80th Terrace in Plantation, Florida, with interim storage preferably in a GSA facility within 10 miles of the new location. Interested vendors must submit written responses by February 19, 2026, demonstrating their qualifications through documentation of at least three similar projects completed within the last five years, including relevant FAA or government contracting experience, project descriptions, and professional references. The FAA will use responses to determine the adequacy of competition and whether to set the requirement aside for small businesses. Evaluation will consider contractor experience, capability, past performance, and references, with the FAA retaining the flexibility to conduct either full and open competition or a small business set-aside upon formal solicitation.
This opportunity carries no current set-aside designation, though the FAA may establish one based on market survey findings. No incumbent contractor or award value is specified in the pre-solicitation notice. The anticipated timeline for formal solicitation is late May or early June 2026, providing several months for the FAA to complete acquisition planning. Vendors should note that responses to this market survey are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a request for proposal, and the FAA will not reimburse any costs or administrative expenses incurred in preparing submissions. The procurement falls under NAICS category 484210 (Used Household and Office Goods Moving) and PSC category V301 (Transportation/Travel/Relocation).
