About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically the VISN 5 Washington DC Network Contracting Office, is conducting a Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential sources for Mobile Surveillance System Trailers. This pre-solicitation notice seeks vendors capable of providing two security monitoring trailers that meet specific technical specifications under NAICS code 561621, with a size standard of $25 Million. The trailers must feature high-definition cameras with pan-tilt-zoom capabilities, wireless transmission, telescoping masts, robust power systems including solar and generator options, and advanced security features like GPS tracking and tamper detection. Responses to this RFI are due by April 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM EST, and must be submitted via email to jessica.thomas2@va.gov. The government will use these responses to make informed acquisition decisions and potentially publish a full solicitation in the future.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned. While a precise award value is not specified, the RFI suggests the procurement will be for two mobile surveillance system trailers with comprehensive technical requirements. The contractor will be expected to deliver and install the trailers within 90 days of contract award at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The solicitation targets businesses within the $25 Million size standard for the Security Systems Services NAICS category, indicating potential opportunities for small to mid-sized businesses. The government's primary objective appears to be assessing market capabilities and identifying potential sources that can meet the detailed technical specifications for these mobile surveillance trailers.
