Update #7 ·
Amendment No. 004
1. For Question regarding the construction schedule. See Specification Section 01 32 16 regarding preparation of the construction schedule.
2. For Question regarding period of performance. See SF 1442 No. 11. The period of performance is 245 days from Notice to Proceed.
3. Explain process for obtaining permits. As outlined in Specification Section 01 31 00 1.9, only work outside of the site property line (such as the water line replacement) would require permitting and that was the basis for specification list of permits. With regards to ACM removal, ithe NYC DEP rules only apply to projects obtaining a DOB permit and would not, therefore, apply to THRB project.
4. Explain the abatement process - the abatement process is explained in detail in Specification Section 01 03 50. In response to the specific question about removal of the braided wire insulation - this does need to be removed so that the existing conduits and chases can be utilized for the new wiring. The Government cannot quantify the amount of concealed material. The offeror should be able to make a reasonable assumption of quantity based on the distances to fixtures and their calculations for the new wiring quantities.
Please acknowledge each of the 4 amendments on the 1442, Section 19.
