About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) has a requirement for services to extract, sequence, assemble, and functionally annotate genomic sequences for lichen samples cultured at CERL. The objective is to identify lichen mycobiont and photobiont genes that are differentially expressed in response to specific environmental stressors. The government will evaluate quotes based on the offeror's relevant experience with RNA-seq laboratory procedures and bioinformatic analysis, as well as price. Quotes are due by 11:59 AM on August 7, 2024 and should be submitted to CERL-CT-Quotes@usace.army.mil.
This procurement is not set aside. It is being competed among interested parties that previously submitted capability statements in response to the original pre-solicitation notice. The period of performance is 6 months, and the government will provide 72 lichen biont tissue samples. The place of performance is Illinois, USA. The contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price contract to the responsible offeror whose quote is most advantageous to the government.

Amendment 01 to this solicitation has been added on 1 August 2024. This amendment is to provide clarification to requirement details found in Section C.3.b and C.3.c. of the Performance Work Statement based on questions from interested vendors and extends the offers due by date.

It is noted that this procurement is being advertised on a competitive basis as a result of the capability statements received in reponse to the original pre-solicitation notice.
Pleawse reference the attached solicitation document for specifics of the requirement,detailed in Section C, as well as specifics of the details required from offerors, detailed in Section L, and for the all applicable provisions and clauses.
