About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Great Lakes Acquisition Center is seeking contractors to provide preventative maintenance and repair services for Welch Allyn Connex Vital Signs Monitor 6000 Series equipment at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Medical Center in Hines, Illinois. The contractor must furnish all necessary labor, materials, parts, tools, equipment, supervision, transportation, travel costs, and technical support to maintain and repair these vital signs monitoring units. The procurement falls under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Interested vendors must demonstrate company experience with the referenced equipment, provide customer references, verify authorization and training for servicing the equipment, and detail the number of qualified maintenance personnel employed. Capability statements are due by Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to Jennifer.Mead@va.gov and must include DUNS number, organization details, business size classification, and socioeconomic status.
This pre-solicitation notice indicates no set-aside designation is being used, making it open to all qualified contractors regardless of size or socioeconomic status. The contract structure appears to include a new base period plus three option years, suggesting a potential four-year total performance period. The solicitation allows for equipment modifications during contract performance, where new Welch Allyn equipment obtained through purchase, upgrade, or replacement may be added to the service contract with corresponding deletions of replaced equipment. Contractors will receive full credit for deleted equipment if no maintenance or repair work has been performed on it prior to removal. The government file reference number 36C25225Q0661 suggests this may be structured as a competitive procurement, though specific award values or budget estimates are not disclosed in this sources sought notice.
