About this opportunity

This Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source contract to Medtronic USA for service and maintenance of NIM 4.0 consoles. The notice provides information on a proposed one-time, firm fixed price contract with a base period and two option years for annual preventative maintenance, servicing, and repair of proprietary NIM console systems that require trained Medtronic personnel.

Interested parties may identify their capability to respond by February 26, 2024. However, to be considered, responses must provide clear evidence that competition would benefit the government. The primary NAICS code is 811210 for electronic and precision equipment repair and maintenance. The sole source award is justified as the NIM console system is proprietary to Medtronic and they are the only authorized provider that can perform the work with trained personnel. The notice seeks information on parties that may be eligible for the work and will also use any responses in a price reasonableness determination, with an award solely at the government's discretion.
