About this opportunity

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) is issuing a Notice of Intent to sole-source a firm-fixed-price commercial contract to Mediso USA, with responses due November 13, 2026. No set-aside is used. The contract covers maintenance and repair of a Mediso nanoScan SPECT/X-ray CT 4H/CT and a Mediso nanoScan PET 122S/CT, with a one-year base period and up to four one-year options.

USUHS justifies the sole-source award by stating that Mediso is the only company with trained service professionals, OEM spare parts, proprietary software, schematics, and technical expertise needed to maintain these systems, and that third-party vendors lack access to these resources.

The notice is not a request for quotes. Under FAR 5.207(c)(16)(i), all responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations demonstrating clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, cost-effective, time-efficient, and capable of meeting the requirements. The Government will not reimburse response costs. Response dates and contact information appear in the accompanying Notice of Intent document.
