This procurement does not utilize any small business set-aside designations and is classified under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Maintenance and Repair with a size standard of $34 million. Boston Scientific Corp of Marlborough, Massachusetts is the intended sole source contractor, suggesting they are likely the current incumbent or original equipment manufacturer. The contract structure includes a base year period from November 1, 2025 through October 31, 2026, followed by four optional one-year extensions that could extend performance through September 30, 2030. This arrangement provides the potential for a five-year total contract duration, ensuring long-term maintenance support for the VA medical facility's laser equipment. While no specific contract value is disclosed in the notice, the substantial multi-year structure and specialized nature of the medical equipment maintenance suggests a significant procurement value.
