About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration is seeking small businesses to provide comprehensive Lenel security system maintenance and support services for the Bath VA Medical Center located in Bath, NY. The contract will cover maintenance of video surveillance, network video recording, physical access control, alarm monitoring, and police security network systems from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, with four potential option years. Key contract requirements include 40 hours of quarterly on-site preventative maintenance, 100 hours of annual remote support, and 24/7/365 technical support with remote access capabilities. Vendors must be prepared to conduct troubleshooting, repair or replace defective equipment, provide software updates, and comply with VA Police Department vetting processes, including background checks and badge requirements. Interested vendors must submit their capability statements and required business information via email to Nathan.Northrup@va.gov no later than February 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST.

The opportunity is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 561621 with a size standard of $25 million, with a preference for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, and Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB). Contractors must be registered and active in SAM.gov and, for SDVOSB/VOSB vendors, must be registered in the SBA VetCert Database. A critical qualification is maintaining a current Lenel Value Added Reseller (VAR) certification. The contract will be awarded as a firm fixed-price requirement, with all materials, labor, and fees included in the purchase order. While no specific award value is mentioned, the comprehensive nature of the security system maintenance suggests a substantial contract scope that will require significant technical expertise and commitment to ongoing system support and maintenance.
