About this opportunity
Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 of the Department of Veterans Affairs seeks preventive and corrective maintenance services for 95 ice machines across VA North Texas Health Care System facilities, with proposals due October 27 at 10:00 AM CDT and a mandatory site visit October 13 at 9:00 AM CDT. The procurement is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
Place of performance is 255 North Steelhead Way, Boise, Idaho 83704, and spans seven VISN 17 locations including Dallas VA Medical Center (75 units), Fort Worth VA Clinic (12 units), and five additional clinics. Equipment includes Scotsman, Follett, and Manitowoc ice machines. All technicians must hold factory certification on those three manufacturers and current EPA Section 608 certification.
The contract runs firm-fixed-price from November 9, 2026, through November 8, 2031 (base year plus four one-year options), with Government estimated total value of $34 million. Offerors must price quarterly preventive maintenance (cleaning, descaling, sanitation, drain line flushing, water treatment, mechanical and electrical testing, and condition assessments) and annual emergency corrective maintenance against a Government-established not-to-exceed amount. Emergency corrective response times are four hours for patient-care-affecting failures, 24 hours for unit failures, and 72 hours for routine issues, available 24/7.
Contractors must maintain general liability insurance of $500,000, automobile liability of $200,000/$500,000, and workers' compensation coverage. The NAICS code is 811310; PSC is J041. Technical questions close October 16 at 10:00 AM CDT. Award evaluation focuses on technical capability, past performance, and price.
