About this opportunity
This Request for Information is issued by the U.S. Army Medical Command on behalf of the Training and Doctrine Command to solicit market research for a potential future solicitation for athletic trainer services to support the Army's Holistic Health and Fitness System. The RFI seeks information on performance-based solutions and contractual arrangements for providing qualified athletic trainers to function as integrated members of brigade-based multi-disciplinary teams. Responses are due by October 16, 2020 and one-on-one meetings will be held between potential offerors and the Army from October 12-16, 2020. The Performance Work Statement outlines requirements for athletic trainers to provide forward musculoskeletal care, early medical intervention, injury prevention, and performance optimization services to designated units at various installations.
There is no set-aside designated for this potential procurement. The NAICS code is 611519 and PSC code is W899. The estimated value is over $10 million annually to provide athletic trainer services at five Army installations from fiscal years 2021 through 2025. The Performance Work Statement requires two to four athletic trainers per brigade depending on unit size and activity levels. The contract will be awarded by January 2021 to ensure services are in place before the start of the new fiscal year.
