About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for HH-60W Jolly Green II Helicopter Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) and Analytical Condition Inspection (ACI) services. The procurement seeks a contractor located within 600 miles of Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, capable of performing comprehensive helicopter maintenance, including scheduled and unscheduled repairs, phase maintenance, and technical order modifications. Contractors must demonstrate expertise in military aircraft maintenance, ability to handle classified materials, and capacity to complete three PDM inductions (190-day flow) and one ACI induction (220-day flow) annually. The government will evaluate respondents based on their technical capabilities, facility infrastructure, quality assurance processes, and experience with H-60 structural repairs. The market research responses are due by February 24, 2025, with questions directed to Caprecia Mortimer and Kimberly Pike via email.

No specific set-aside has been designated for this opportunity, and the government encourages participation from both large and small businesses, including joint ventures and teaming arrangements. While no specific award value is mentioned, the contract will require significant technical capabilities, including handling sensitive items like encryption devices, navigation systems, and communication equipment. The maintenance work will encompass comprehensive structural inspections across six major aircraft zones, with 100% replacement requirements for specific components like pivot bolts and assemblies. The contract term appears to be for depot-level maintenance at 68-month intervals, with potential for ongoing support. The NAICS code for this opportunity is 488190 (Other Support Activities for Air Transportation), and the government has not yet determined the required security clearance level or specific foreign participation restrictions.
