About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 is soliciting for radiation dosimetry monitoring services through Request for Quotation 36C25726Q0184. The contractor will provide comprehensive personnel dosimetry services including supplying and processing dosimeters for whole body, collar, fetal, waist, chest, and extremity monitoring, along with emergency consultation, reporting, and radiation exposure tracking. Key requirements include NVLAP accreditation, Nuclear Regulatory Commission compliance, 24-hour emergency consultation capabilities, color-coded and waterproof dosimeter labeling, and web-based reporting tools with strict data privacy and security protocols. Evaluation will be based on six technical criteria: licensing and accreditation, experience and capability, dosimetry products and monitoring services, reporting and data management, incident and emergency processing, and quality assurance and customer support. Proposals must be submitted by email to vance.farrell@va.gov no later than 2:00 PM CST on January 23, 2026, with written questions due by January 20, 2026.
This acquisition is set-aside exclusively for service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) concerns, which must comply with the 50 percent subcontracting limitation under VAAR 852.219-75. The current incumbent contract (36C25725P0140) was awarded at $77,950.00, suggesting the replacement contract will be in a similar range. The services will cover approximately 651 personnel across 28 subaccounts with an estimated 7,380 annual dosimeter processings. The base performance period runs from February 1, 2026, through January 31, 2027, with four additional one-year option periods available through January 31, 2031. Performance will take place at the VA North Texas Health Care System, 4500 S. Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas 75216, under a firm-fixed price, f.o.b. destination contract structure.
