About this opportunity

The Special Notice announces the United States Marine Corps' Marine Common Aircrew Trainer Modernization Program being conducted by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division. The agency seeks to modernize seven existing MCAT devices through upgrades to computational hardware, operating systems, software, audio/visual systems, and simulated weapons.

The Special Notice provides information on industry days being held in December 2023 to brief contractors on program requirements and draft documents, allow site visits to existing MCATs, and facilitate an exchange of information prior to releasing a formal RFP. Only small businesses holding Training Systems Contract IV IDIQ MAC prime contracts may attend the industry days and subsequently compete for the follow-on delivery order. The modernization effort aims to address obsolescence issues, improve training realism and capabilities, and relocate one MCAT device by early 2026 according to milestones in the anticipated solicitation schedule.
