About this opportunity

The National Park Service Intermountain Region is seeking quotations for chimney, coal stove, and wood stove inspection and cleaning services at Glacier National Park under Request for Quotation #140P1426Q0023. The contractor must perform inspections and cleaning at 27 locations throughout the park in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 211 standards. Quotations must be submitted electronically to Barbara Glen at barbara_glen@nps.gov by February 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM Mountain Time (note: the original deadline of February 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM was extended via amendment effective February 13, 2026). Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted by February 9, 2026, at 12:00 PM Mountain Time. Evaluation will be conducted using three factors: price (assessed for reasonableness, completeness, and balance across option periods); technical approach and resource availability; and prior experience performing similar work, with preference given to contractors with experience in remote, seasonal, or National Park Service environments. Required submittals include a completed Standard Form 18, price schedules for the base and all option periods, representations and certifications, technical approach documentation, and evidence of qualified personnel and equipment.

This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside contract with a firm-fixed-price structure covering a Base Period from June 1 through August 31, 2026, and four optional one-year periods extending through August 31, 2030. The NAICS code is 561790 (Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings) with a $9 million small business size standard. Services must be performed on-site at 27 locations divided between the East Side and West Side of Glacier National Park, including ranger residences, visitor centers, administrative buildings, campground facilities, and backcountry cabins. The contractor must coordinate exact service dates and times with the National Park Service no less than one week in advance of each performance period. All work is subject to Service Contract Act wage determinations for both Glacier County and Flathead County, Montana, and contractors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) and use the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) for payment requests. Repairs identified during inspections will be paid separately through Purchase Card transactions and are not included in the base contract price.
