About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a comprehensive service agreement to maintain, repair, and provide technical support for mission-critical gas chromatograph instruments at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF). Specifically, the contract will cover maintenance for three Agilent Technologies instruments: a 6890N GC/5973N Mass Selective Detector, a 7890A GC/5977B Mass Selective Detector, and a 7890A Gas Chromatograph with Electron Capture Detector. The procurement falls under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $34 million in annual receipts. Interested vendors must complete and submit a Sources Sought Questionnaire via email to Nathan Grimm and Jacqueline Edgerton by March 12, 2025. The government will use these responses to determine the most appropriate procurement strategy, which may include a full and open competition or a small business set-aside.
The current procurement plan includes a notional base period plus one option year, with the intent of a single award contract. While no specific award value is disclosed, the contract requires unlimited on-site corrective maintenance visits with a 3-business-day response time and one annual preventative maintenance visit per instrument. Technical support must be provided with a 2-hour response time, and comprehensive reporting will be mandatory. The government will supply laboratory reagents, while the contractor must provide all consumables, tools, and equipment for maintenance. All small business set-aside categories are being considered, giving potential small businesses across various classifications an opportunity to compete for this contract. The final solicitation, if issued, will be synopsized on the SAM.gov website, and potential offerors are advised to monitor the site for additional information.
