About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of State is seeking comprehensive gardening services for the U.S. Embassy in Kampala, Uganda, covering 12 different locations totaling approximately 53,840 square meters. The solicitation requires a contractor to provide full landscaping maintenance, including grass cutting, edging, trimming, weeding, pruning, leaf removal, watering, fertilizing, and pest control across chancery facilities, residences, and other embassy properties. Interested vendors must submit quotations by March 07, 2025, at 10:00 am local time, with a mandatory site visit scheduled for February 20, 2025, at 08:00 am. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit their proposals electronically to KampalaBid@state.gov, following specific file format and size requirements. The U.S. Government intends to award the contract to the responsible company submitting the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer, potentially without further discussions.
The contract includes a one-year base period with four potential one-year option periods, covering services to be performed during standard working hours (07:30-16:30 Monday through Thursday and 07:30-12:30 on Friday). There are no specific set-aside designations for this opportunity, making it open to all qualified vendors. The scope of work guarantees a minimum of 7,700 square meters and allows for a maximum of 38,500 square meters of temporary additional services. The contract will cover multiple properties including the Chancery, CMR, DCMR, Victoria Villas, Veronica Villas, and several residential compounds, with services to be performed twice weekly for four hours each day at selected residences. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the services and the extensive area coverage suggest a significant annual contract value for the landscaping and groundskeeping requirements at the U.S. Embassy in Kampala.
