About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is soliciting proposals for a turnkey wireless microphone system refresh for Jones Auditorium at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. The procurement requires the contractor to provide and install a complete professional-grade digital wireless microphone system featuring secure AES 256 encryption and Dante Audio-over-IP capability, including specified Shure equipment components (one ANX4 receiver, four ULXD1 bodypack transmitters, four ULXD2/B87A handheld transmitters, four UL4 lavalier microphones, antennas, battery chargers, batteries, and four Audinate Dante AVIO adapters), along with installation, integration, testing, on-site training for up to ten personnel, documentation, and one-year on-site service warranty with one-business-day response time. The contractor must ensure all equipment is new, professional-grade, Trade Agreements Act compliant (with noted exceptions), and meets DoD/USAF cybersecurity requirements, National Electrical Code standards, and plenum-rated cabling specifications. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose conforming offer is most advantageous to the Government based on technical capability and price, evaluated in that order of importance. The solicitation was posted on March 27, 2026, with proposals due by April 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM Central Daylight Time, and an amendment was issued on April 2, 2026 requiring acknowledgment of receipt by the deadline.
This is a 100% women-owned small business (WOSB) set-aside with no identified incumbent contractor. The current wireless microphone system at Jones Auditorium has reached end-of-life and is inoperable; the system currently consists of Sony wireless microphones and a BIAMP Tesira audio mixing console. The contract includes three firm fixed-price line items for equipment, installation, and one-year service/support, with the government requesting delivery by May 1, 2026. The contractor must perform all work Monday through Friday between 0800 and 1600 hours at Building 1401, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama (DoDAAC: F2XHC3), and coordinate with base civil engineering and the designated points of contact, Mr. Yahsmin Turner and final acceptance authority John Hudak. Personnel will require base identification and vehicle passes, REAL ID-compliant credentials, and compliance with all base security protocols, installation entry/exit procedures, and weapons/firearms restrictions.
