About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force's Air Education and Training Command is conducting market research for stage lighting, sound, and technical support services for the JBSA Great Texas Freedom Festival through the 502d Contracting Squadron. The event requires a comprehensive audiovisual support package including an SL-260 stage, speaker towers, multi-color lighting displays, delay towers, and associated technical infrastructure for an event at Fort Sam Houston on April 12, 2025. Interested vendors must submit a detailed Request for Information (RFI) by February 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM Central Time, including company details such as CAGE code, business size status, socio-economic categories, and ownership type. The government will evaluate potential contractors based on their capability to meet the technical requirements outlined in the Statement of Work, with a focus on providers who can demonstrate expertise in event staging and technical support. Vendors must be prepared to submit documentation for base access credentials and begin planning by March 1, 2025.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity, making it open to all qualified businesses. The contract is classified under NAICS category 711320 for Promoters of Performing Arts, Sports, and Similar Events without Facilities, with a Product Service Code of G003 for Social-Recreational services. The project timeline requires equipment setup on April 9-10, 2025, with the event on April 12 and complete teardown on April 13-14, 2025. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the comprehensive technical requirements suggest a moderately complex event support contract. Contractors will be responsible for providing all management, tools, personnel, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, and labor necessary to successfully execute the festival's technical production needs. Payment will be rendered upon completion of performance, indicating a milestone-based compensation structure.
