About this opportunity
This solicitation seeks proposals to provide airfield management services at Columbus Air Force Base and Gunshy Auxiliary Airfield in Mississippi. The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command requires the contractor to maintain and inspect the airfields to ensure a safe operating environment in compliance with USAF and FAA standards. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform all tasks and functions as defined in the PWS. The Contractor shall maintain, examine and inspect CAFB and Gunshy Auxiliary Airfield to guarantee military and civilian customers a safe operating environment. The Contractor shall conduct Airfield support activities in strict compliance with United States Air Force (USAF) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards mandating safety requirements for military air operations.
**********A site visit will be held on August 2, 2021 at 10:00 am CST. Vendors shall meet at Vistor's Center by the Front Gate . Vendors will then walk/drive to the actual site of contract performance. Vendors are encouraged to inspect the site in order to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance to the extent that information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Those wishing to participate in the site visit shall provide all information specified in the attached Base Access Procedures. Send correspondence to Amy Davis at amy.davis.18@us.af.mil Respondents shall respond no later than July 27, 2021 by 4:00 pm CST.**********
