About this opportunity

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Prison Camp Alderson, seeks subsistence and food service products for the facility's fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2026 (July 1–September 30), with quotes due May 26, 2026, by 8:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. This is a total small business set-aside, restricting competition to firms meeting SBA size standards.

Place of performance and delivery destination is Alderson, West Virginia. The procurement covers approximately 60 line items spanning dry goods, proteins, dairy, condiments, spices, disposable supplies, and beverages meeting National Menu Specifications. All products must have expiration dates at least six months past receipt, with no dented cans or improperly labeled packaging. Frozen items must arrive at 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below; non-frozen perishables at 34–41 degrees Fahrenheit; canned goods above 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Deliveries must occur within 30 days after order receipt, between 7:30 AM and 2:00 PM EST on non-federal holidays, fully palletized and positioned to enable immediate offloading via forklift or pallet jack. The facility reserves the right to conditionally receive items for up to three days of examination and testing. Non-conforming products must be repaired, replaced, or reperformed at no additional cost.

The NAICS code is 311991 with a small business size standard of 700 employees. Contract type is firm-fixed price. Evaluation weighs fair and reasonable pricing and past performance (timeliness of deliveries and order accuracy) on a Go/No-Go basis. The Government anticipates multiple awards based on pricing per line item to responsible quoters providing best overall value. Awards exceeding $15,000 will be issued as purchase orders requiring contractor acceptance within 48 hours; awards under $15,000 will be issued as government purchase card transactions. All vendors must be registered in SAM.gov and provide their Unique Entity Identifier in quotes; failure to register may result in elimination from consideration.
