About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified vendors capable of providing Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) integration, development, training, and sustainment services for Force Protection applications. The procurement seeks to establish an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract mechanism to support the full lifecycle of C-sUAS products, including system engineering, software development, hardware integration, procurement, fielding, and maintenance across multiple Air Force deployment configurations. Key contract requirements include comprehensive system integration capabilities, software development expertise with semi-annual release cycles, cybersecurity management with personnel requiring minimum Secret security clearances, logistics support for up to 77 sites across multiple commands, and technical documentation and training capabilities. The Air Force is seeking to understand the market landscape, assess vendor qualifications against contract gating criteria, and evaluate vendor capacity to propose for initial task orders based on the provided scope. Responses to the RFI must be submitted electronically by November 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM EST to specified Air Force contract specialists, with submissions directed to AFLCMC/HBUK Proposals and designated government personnel.
The RFI does not include any set-aside designations and expressly encourages responses from both small and other-than-small businesses. No current incumbent contractors are identified in the pre-solicitation materials, and this is characterized as an information-gathering effort rather than a formal solicitation, with respondents bearing their own submission costs and receiving no reimbursement. The contract will support sustainment and equipment installations at 77 total sites across NORTHCOM, PACAF, AFCENT, and USAFE commands over four operational years following the base year, with software development staffed by 4-6 scrum teams scaling across the performance period. The scope includes support for Group 1-3 UAS systems with characteristics including size under 1,320 lbs, speed under 250 knots, and operating altitude below 3,500 feet AGL, along with integration of multiple vendor equipment platforms including SRC TPQ-50, Echodyne Echoshield Radar, Zone 5 Paladin, and Fortem DroneHunter systems. Specific budget amounts have not been disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, though the multi-site, multi-year sustainment scope indicates a substantial contract value.
