About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command is seeking proposals for the installation of an access control system and supporting electronic security infrastructure at the Flight Simulator Building on Patrick Space Force Base in Florida. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision to install the system in compliance with local building codes, national electrical codes, and security regulations. A mandatory site visit must be conducted prior to submitting proposals, and all contractor personnel must be U.S. citizens able to obtain base access badges. The government will evaluate proposals based on technical acceptability and lowest price, and intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract.
This procurement is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 561621. There is no incumbent currently performing these services. The government has not disclosed the project budget, but the work is expected to be completed within a tight timeline, as the contractor must begin coordination by September 30, 2024 to ensure the system is certified 30 days prior to the Flight Simulator's classification. The place of performance is the Flight Simulator Building at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida.
