The Federal Bureau of Prisons seeks a contractor to install high-performance resinous flooring systems at Federal Correctional Complex Butner, with quotations due July 8, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Place of performance is Butner, North Carolina. Work involves installation of textured, hand-troweled urethane urea mortar flooring in three separate facility kitchen and food service areas: FCI-I (4,200 square feet), LSCI (7,800 square feet), and FCI-II (220 square feet). The contractor must furnish all equipment, materials, labor, and supervision for complete installation. Performance must begin within 10 calendar days of notice to proceed and complete within 91 calendar days. Liquidated damages are $1,508.17 per calendar day for delays beyond the completion deadline.
All contractor personnel must complete a four-hour security orientation, wear facility-issued picture ID badges, and comply with strict institutional security protocols including prohibition of cell phones with cameras, firearms, drugs, and khaki or green clothing. Work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The contractor must provide a minimum one-year warranty, expandable to five years per contract terms.
