About this opportunity
Naval Sea Systems Command seeks quarterly preventive maintenance services on two Generac MDG250DF4 Emergency Diesel Generators at Norfolk Naval Shipyard's Centralized Pier-Side Pretreatment Unit facility, with proposals due June 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM EDT. The procurement is set aside for women-owned small businesses.
Place of performance is Portsmouth, Virginia. Work spans five years from July 27, 2026 through July 26, 2031, with services performed at the CPPU storage area or Building 298 Code 900F dry dock area during normal working hours (0730–1600, Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays). The contract includes quarterly maintenance (pre-operation and operational inspections), annual maintenance (oil and DEF changes, filter replacements, cooling system checks), biennial maintenance (OCV filter changes), and triennial maintenance (valve clearance adjustments, glow plug testing, cooling system flushing, thermostat replacement, battery replacement, and belt changes). Base year includes all maintenance types in Quarter 1, followed by quarterly maintenance only in Quarters 2–4; option years follow similar patterns with varying maintenance level combinations.
Contractor personnel must obtain CIA access credentials (DBIDS card and NAVSEA badge) and comply with security requirements regarding portable electronic devices. All work must comply with the Generac Owner's Manual for Mobile Generator MDG250DF4 Rev. B 08/18/2023. Contractor must submit individual PM reports including engine oil analysis, engine coolant analysis, load testing results, and generator megger testing within one week of service completion. Cybersecurity maturity model certification at Level 1 is required. The NAICS code is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Award is based on lowest price technically acceptable. Questions are due June 9, 2026 at 8:00 AM EDT. Amendment 001, effective June 10, extended the deadline and clarified that Section 5.6 reports must be included in the total price quote.
