About this opportunity
Army Contracting Command–Redstone Arsenal is requesting information on dry ice procurement with responses due June 3, 2026, for recurring delivery to Corpus Christi Army Depot on an unspecified contract vehicle and schedule. This is a market research RFI only; responses are voluntary and non-binding, and the Government will not compensate respondents.
The requirement calls for three dry ice product types delivered to depot-wide locations: 390,000 pounds yearly of 60-pound blocks (10-inch cubes) to 12 locations twice weekly; 18,720 pounds yearly of 60-pound slabs (2-inch by 2-inch by 10-inch) to the T700 Engines facility twice weekly; and 3,432 pounds yearly of 33-pound pellet bundles to the Rotating Electric facility once weekly. Delivery is classified as a hazardous material logistical service requiring full compliance with OSHA standards, Army Regulation 385-10, and USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual EM 385-1-1. Within 15 days of contract award and prior to first delivery, the Contractor must submit a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan and Activity Hazard Analysis addressing asphyxiation hazards (CO2 accumulation in elevators and confined spaces with portable monitors), cryogenic hazards (mandatory PPE including cryogenic gloves and face shields for delivery personnel), safe material handling through active industrial areas, and emergency response procedures. The Contractor must provide a current Safety Data Sheet for solid carbon dioxide and certify that all delivery personnel are trained on cryogenic and asphyxiant material hazards before commencing deliveries.
Respondents must indicate small business status and applicable socio-economic designations (HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, women-owned). Responses offering GSA or open-market pricing are acceptable. Submit responses in MS Word or PDF format to edward.a.chilson.civ@army.mil by June 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM CDT. Proprietary information must be clearly marked. Any formal solicitation will be announced on the Army Single Face to Industry; non-response to this RFI does not preclude future participation.
