Place of performance is Tuolumne Meadows, California, and multiple dispersed locations within Yosemite National Park. The contractor must perform approximately 29 shallow borings (up to 5 feet) and 12 deeper borings (10 to 20 feet) to determine pavement and base layer thickness and collect bulk subgrade soil samples. Work runs from June 22 through September 30, 2026. The contractor provides a truck-mounted drill rig with an 8-inch outside diameter auger, a two-person drill crew, traffic control with flaggers and two-way radios compliant with MUTCD standards, and per diem for crew members. Pavement restoration is required at 41 bore holes.
NAICS code is 541380 (Testing Laboratories and Services) with a $19 million size standard; PSC is B519 (Special Studies/Analysis–Geotechnical). Contractors must maintain current active SAM.gov registration at submission. The bid schedule includes mobilization/demobilization (mileage-based), drilling labor (24 hours), crew travel (9 hours), pavement restoration (41 each), flag crew mobilization and labor (33 hours), traffic signage equipment, per diem up to $267 per person per day for Mariposa County, and supplies. Payment is fixed firm price upon completion and government acceptance. Service Contract Act wage determinations apply; Davis Bacon wages do not apply. Amendment A001, effective May 29, 2026, updated pages 1, 4, and the Scope of Work. Borehole location coordinate files (.kmz format) are posted to SAM.gov.
