About this opportunity
UT-Battelle, LLC, the Management & Operations contractor for Oak Ridge National Laboratory, seeks proposals for a deionization system with recirculation and monitoring skid in building 7930, with proposals due August 3, 2026. This is a competitive, non-set-aside fixed-price procurement under NAICS 221310 (Water Supply and Irrigation Systems) and PSC 4610 (Water Purification Equipment).
Place of performance is Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The system must deliver one 14-inch diameter mixed-bed deionization unit processing approximately 150 ppm total dissolved solids feed water to yield approximately 3,800 gallons per 14-inch MB tank, flowing at 2 to 15 gallons per minute. The recirculation and monitoring skid includes dual 20-inch filter housings with 5-micron and 1-micron cartridges, two-channel conductivity monitors, an inline flow meter reading 0.3 to 19.8 gallons per minute with remote monitoring capability, a Click PLC control panel with MODBUS communication and cellular modem for wireless monitoring, and a stocked spare pressure pump with motor and sensors. The supplier must provide 24/7 operational support, deliver equipment and installation assistance, comply with Department of Energy Nonreactor Nuclear Facilities Division work controls (NNFD-004, Revision 11), and submit an Activity Hazard Analysis. All personnel require current Site Access Training and Environmental Management System Awareness Training, and must possess DOE security clearances per DOE Order 472.2 where applicable.
