About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Office of Counsel is seeking court reporting services to support legal proceedings including Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) hearings, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) hearings, arbitrations, and depositions. The solicitation requires court reporters to capture and preserve verbatim records of legal proceedings, ensuring court-admissible accuracy while serving as impartial third-party officiants. The contract is specifically designed to support DLA Office of Counsel - Land and Maritime operations, with court reporters responsible for maintaining precise documentation of various administrative and legal events. However, the solicitation has been complicated by Amendment 001, which effectively cancels the entire procurement process without providing specific reasons for termination. The original solicitation (SP4702-25-Q-0009) was initially posted on February 26, 2025, with an original response deadline of March 18, 2025.

The contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, targeting court reporting and stenotype services under NAICS category 561492. The place of performance is located in Whitehall, Ohio (43213), indicating a regional focus for these legal support services. While specific award values or budget ranges are not explicitly detailed in the available documentation, the procurement is categorized under Product Service Code R606 for Administrative Support Court Reporting. The cancellation of the solicitation through Amendment 001 suggests potential re-evaluation of the agency's court reporting service requirements. The solicitation initially sought to establish a contract for comprehensive legal proceeding documentation services, though the sudden cancellation leaves uncertainty about the future procurement strategy for these critical administrative support services.
