GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The scope of this project is to construct a community living center and consist of the renovation of 32,600 square feet (SF) of existing building footprint of the 1st floor of wings 1D & 1E, plus 7,680 SF of new 1 story addition all combined to house a 27 bed Community Living Center located on the Charlie Norwood Veterans Affairs Medical Center Campus Uptown in Augusta, Georgia. The work includes complete demolition of 3,900 SF of existing 1 story structure to accommodate the new community living center. The successful offeror shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, furnish labor and materials and perform work in accordance with design and specifications as will be provided in the forthcoming solicitation.
SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority under Public Law 109-461 (38 U.S.C. 8127) and is a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The SDVOSB must be a small business under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and verifiable at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. Offerors MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate, complete and have not expired prior to proposal due date.
NAICS CODE: The NAICS code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5M.
MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00

SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The tentative date for posting the solicitation documents to www.fbo.gov is on or about January 31, 2018, with proposals due approximately 30 days later. These are only tentative dates. The solicitation will have specific dates, times, and locations for a site visit and proposal submissions. This requirement is anticipated to result in a firm-fixed-price contract. Dissemination of the solicitation, specifications and drawings is limited to electronic medium only. Interested contractors should watch for the issuance of the solicitation and for notifications of updates by registering at www.fbo.gov. An Offeror's mailing list WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer.
SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fbo.gov. Paper copies of amendments will NOT be issued. By registering to "Watch This Opportunity", Offerors will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification of amendments will be provided.
