About this opportunity
Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for refurbishing Lashing Straps through a potential Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking companies capable of providing comprehensive services as outlined in their Performance Work Statement (PWS). Interested contractors must submit a capabilities statement demonstrating their ability to perform 100% of the required tasks, along with key company information including CAGE code, DUNS number, and point of contact details. The solicitation encourages participation from both large and small businesses with relevant experience in the specified services. Responses must be submitted as a single Adobe Acrobat PDF to alicia.l.almberg.civ@us.navy.mil by March 24th, 2025 at 11 AM, with no hard copy or facsimile submissions accepted.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, and the anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 532490 for Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing. The government has not disclosed a specific award value or budget range for this opportunity. The contract appears to be focused on equipment rental, specifically involving a Combi-CBE 6000 forklift with a 6,000-pound capacity and various technical specifications. While the document emphasizes that this is not a formal request for quote or proposal, it signals the government's intent to proceed with a procurement process in the near future. Potential contractors should note that the government will not compensate companies for responding to this market research notice, and any proprietary information submitted will be protected when properly designated.
