About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Medical Command intends to solicit calibration and temperature mapping services under a Total Small Business set-aside, with a response deadline of September 1, 2023.
Performance occurs at the Food Analysis and Diagnostic Laboratory (FADL) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, with both onsite and offsite service components. The contractor must maintain ISO 17025:2017 accreditation and deliver calibration reports meeting ISO 17025:2017 and American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) standards, including measurement uncertainties, correction factors, data points, and uniformity maps with demonstrated traceability. All reports must display the accreditation symbol and certificate number.
Onsite calibration services must be scheduled within four weeks of notification and completed within four working days; offsite services must be completed within two weeks. Fiscal Year 2027 scope includes up to 100 pipettes per onsite visit (200 total calibration slots for FY27) during semiannual visits, up to 12 pipette repairs as needed, up to 26 analytical balances once annually, up to nine reference thermometers onsite, up to six reference weight sets offsite, and up to five autoclaves with temperature mapping during onsite visits. The contractor must state costs per onsite visit, pay offsite shipping fees, and mail shipments within two business days. Final calibration reports are due to the Government Acceptor and Contracting Officer's Representative within five calendar days of completion. FADL provides working space, environmental conditions, and expendables such as pipet tips for onsite calibrations.
