About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of producing one C26-109E Linear Power RF Amplifier for the United States Air Force. The amplifier must receive a 100-milliwatt RF signal and amplify it to approximately 160 watts to test the Transmit Diplexer Circuitry of aircraft systems. Key technical requirements include a frequency range of 250 MHz to a minimum of 450 MHz, a minimum gain of 52dB with adjustable gain capability, N-Type Female input/output connectors, 50 Ohms I/O impedance, CW, AM, and FM capability, a maximum input VSWR of 2.0:1, and operation on standard 120V 60 Hz single-phase wall power. Delivery speed has been identified as the highest priority for this requirement, and respondents must submit supporting documentation demonstrating their capabilities, including past experience, quality assurance processes, expedited shipping capabilities, estimated costs with lead times, and warranty information. Written responses must be submitted by April 22, 2026, to Mark Todd (mark.todd.7@us.af.mil) and Paul Mullins (paul.mullins.2@us.af.mil).

This is a pre-solicitation notice with no set-aside designation, meaning all contractors, including large and small businesses, are eligible to participate. No incumbent contractor or current award value has been identified in the market research notice. The procurement requires a single unit of bench-top equipment that preferably includes a front panel display showing output power and VSWR, with front panel power adjustment preferred but not required. Respondents should note that participation in this market survey does not guarantee participation in future solicitations or contract awards, and the government will not reimburse expenses associated with participation. The equipment must include a complete and valid calibration data package, have a full enclosure, maintain output of at least 160 watts for one hour, and be capable of supporting aircraft testing operations as specified.
