About this opportunity
The National Park Service, Department of the Interior, anticipates issuing a small-business-set-aside solicitation for water infrastructure rehabilitation at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah on or about August 24, 2026, with a bid deadline of September 30, 2026. The estimated contract value is $15 million to $20 million with a 550 calendar day performance period.
Primary scope includes rehabilitating and replacing the main raw water transmission line from park-owned wells west of the park to raw water storage tanks, installing new valves along the entire line, and addressing known and potentially unknown leaks. Secondary work encompasses enlarging one raw water storage tank, repairing water supply laterals and damaged service connections, rehabilitating the Lodge Loop Fire Protection Supply (potentially upgrading from 6 to 8 inch diameter), replacing Mission 66 sewer connections, and decommissioning the Yovimpa Point Water System. Work is performed at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah with coordinate access requirements through the US Forest Service for wells located on Dixie National Forest land. The project remains unfunded with high expectation that funds will become available.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for September 16, 2026, with attendance confirmation required by September 13, 2026. Prospective bidders must maintain active SAM registration and possess a UEI number. NAICS 237110 (Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction) applies with a $45 million size standard. The park remains open during construction; contractors must minimize visitor impact and coordinate staging across limited available locations. Contact Contracting Officer Vicki Freese-Supler (vicki_freese-supler@ios.doi.gov) or Contract Specialist Brian Baugh (brian_baugh@contractor.nps.gov) with inquiries.
