Added: May 21, 2010 4:38 pm ***MAY 21, 2010*** The Pre-Proposal Conference has been re-scheduled: A pre-proposal conference and site visit is planned for JUNE 21, 2010 at the Darby Ranger District Office at 712 N. Main Street in Darby, MT. Contractors interested in attending the pre-proposal conference & site visit should RSVP to Administrative Contracting Officer Loren Ebner (406-329-3858) by JUNE 20, 2010 (Voice Mail at 406-329-3858 is OK). Contractors will be responsible for their own transportation and personal protective equipment for the field visit.

The Western Montana Acquisition Zone anticipates awarding a stewardship contract for work on the Darby Ranger District of the Bitterroot National Forest. Contract area includes the Trapper Creek, Little Trapper Creek, Leavens Gulch, Spoon Creek, McCoy Creek, Tin Cup, and Little Tin Cup drainages. The Trapper-Bunkhouse IRSC Stewardship project is primarily a fuels reduction project with sawtimber, non-sawtimber, and biomass removal from approximately 2,518 acres. Contract work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of sawtimber and non-sawtimber of various species. Estimated sawtimber volume is 18,464 58,415 tons (this range includes base and optional items). Estimated non-sawtimber volume is 15,033 tons. Un-estimated quantities of biomass will also be available for removal. More details regarding volume will be available in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted on this website on approximately (To Be Determined). A pre-proposal conference and site visit is planned for (To Be Determined) at the Darby Ranger District Office at 712 N. Main Street in Darby, MT.
