Special Units: Special Units contain individually identified and named Research Sub-Units within the larger Special Unit boundary. Since Special Units and the Research Sub-Units within them must be treated in different ways, the Contractor shall refer to Appendix A to identify the services being performed in each Special Unit and the embedded Research Sub-Units.
Appendix A identifies the services to be performed in the Special Units and Research Sub-Units, and those services must also be performed while also meeting the requirements outlined in Appendix B.

B. 3 LAND MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES
Performance of land management activities shall be in accordance with Section C – Description and Specifications. Payment for Land Management Work Activities in Schedule B. 1, will be made in Stewardship Credits in lieu of cash, as defined in Section G. All Mandatory Work Activities shall be performed. Option activities are listed in order of planned priority. Award may be made for option items in any order that the Contracting Officer determines is in the best interest of the Government.
B. 4 SUMMARY OF WORK BY UNIT AND OPTIONAL UNIT PRIORITY RANKING
(a) A list of all Mandatory and Optional Units, with the exception of Mandatory Special Units 5A, 5B and 11 is attached in Section J (Attachment 03). The list attached in Section J contains a summary of the work by unit for all Mandatory and Optional Units except for Mandatory Special Units 5A, 5B and 11. Section J, Attachment 03 lists the Optional Units in order of Government priority. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to change the order of Government priority.
