About this opportunity
The Department of Health and Human Services' National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations has issued a Special Notice for Audio Visual Support Services targeting the Natcher Building 45. The notice concerns the replacement of failed network switches in conference rooms that have become degraded or completely offline. K2 Audio, LLC from Boulder, Colorado, is being considered as a sole source contractor due to their original design, installation, programming, and commissioning of the current AV network. The existing system involves Cisco AV switches that cannot be repaired, necessitating replacement with new Netgear AV switches designed for audio, video, and control signal transmission over an IP network. The opportunity is classified under NAICS Category 541990 for Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services and PSC Category 5830 for Intercommunication and Public Address Systems.
Interested contractors may submit capability statements to ryan.alexander@nih.gov by 9:00 a.m. EST on December 9th, 2024, with specific requirements including pricing details, delivery timeline, payment terms, DUNS number, TIN, and business size certification. While this is not a competitive solicitation, the NIH will consider alternative qualified organizations if compelling capability statements are received. Registration in SAM.gov is mandatory for award consideration, and the anticipated award will occur within 5 days of the notice unless another qualified organization is identified. The project scope involves configuring and installing new network switches across multiple conference rooms and areas, including the main auditorium, Rooms A/B through G1/G2, and Balconies A, B, and C. K2 will perform the work through a multiphase implementation process that includes configuration at their facility, on-site installation, removal of existing switches, and complete system reconfiguration using a senior consultant and supporting technicians.
