About this file
This Statement of Work outlines audio-visual support services required by the NIH Office of Research Services Events Management in Bethesda, MD for the Natcher building conference rooms. The work involves replacing failed Cisco switches that are part of a 15-year-old AV-over-IP system that has caused conference rooms to become degraded or completely offline.
K2 will provide a multiphase implementation including configuration, installation, and testing of NIH-furnished (OFE) network switches. The work is scheduled for November 18-22 for most spaces and November 21-27 for the auditorium and balcony areas. The scope covers 10 specific areas including the main auditorium (Room 45), Rooms A/B through G1/G2, and Balconies A, B, and C. K2 will configure the switches at their facility, then install them on-site, remove the existing switches for NIH disposal, and complete the new configuration. The work will be performed by a senior consultant with technician support as needed.

Events Management Bethesda, MD
Statement of Work for Audio Visual Support Services
Background
Events Management Conference Room located in Natcher building, was installed over 15 years ago and are starting to fail. The AV switches are designed for audio, video, and control signal transmission over an IP network. The current system used by Events Management Conference rooms was designed and installed to operated AV over IP. This allows the entire AV network to communicate with other devices installed in the network. The current Cisco switches have failed and cannot be repaired. This has caused all the conference rooms in Natcher Conference Center to be degraded, or completely offline.

K2 will plan on beginning the installation of all spaces (except for the balcony and auditoriums) on November 18th – 22nd. This will include physical installation and IP’ing of devices for the new configuration.
K2 will continue work at NIH facility on November 21st – November 27th to work on the auditorium and the balcony spaces. This work will include deinstall the current OFE switches in place and provide to NIH to be boxed up for deposition. K2 will install new switches and configure the switches.
