About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 7 is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive x-ray imaging services for eleven Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in the Atlanta area. The solicitation requires a full-service solution that includes digital radiology equipment, ARRT certified imaging technicians, and tele-radiology reading services performed by board-certified radiologists. The contract will be exam-based, with pricing structured around Medicare rates and CPT codes, and will cover an estimated 37,107 annual exams. Proposals must be submitted by October 10, 2024, for a contract period starting November 1, 2024. The VA will evaluate proposals based on technical capabilities, staffing qualifications, equipment specifications, and compliance with specific technical requirements including Enterprise Risk Analysis and DICOM Modular Interface standards.

The solicitation is specifically set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, with the current service being provided under contract #36C24720C0029. The contract structure includes a base year from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025, with one option year extending through October 31, 2026. The x-ray equipment will be permanently installed inside the CBOC facilities in Decatur, Georgia, rather than using mobile units. While specific award values were not explicitly detailed, the comprehensive nature of the services suggests a significant contract scope covering equipment provision, staffing, and diagnostic interpretation across multiple clinics. The procurement falls under NAICS category 621512 for Diagnostic Imaging Centers and PSC category Q522 for Medical Radiology services.
