About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking engineering support services for the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. The contract will provide professional engineering support for aerospace storage, preservation, aircraft parts reclamation, aircraft regeneration, depot-level maintenance overflow, and aircraft disposal. Contractors must provide a team of engineering professionals, including one Process Engineer, one Facilities Engineer, one Technical Insertion Engineer, and three Engineering Technicians, all requiring a "SECRET" security clearance and journeyman-level experience. The evaluation will be based on multiple factors, with technical competency and past performance significantly more important than price, using a color-coded rating system from Blue (Outstanding) to Red (Unacceptable). Proposals are due by April 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM Mountain Standard Time, with the contract to be awarded to the responsible offeror providing the best value to the government.
The solicitation is set aside exclusively for Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) under NAICS code 541330, with a total potential contract value estimated at $25,500,000. The contract structure includes a one-year base period from June 9, 2025, to June 8, 2026, with three additional one-year option periods extending potential performance through June 8, 2029. The place of performance will be at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, specifically at the 309 AMARG facility located at 4820 S. Wickenburg Ave, Building 7513. Each full-time equivalent position will be allocated 1,920 annual hours, and the contractor will be responsible for providing monthly manpower reports, incident/mishap reports, and quarterly performance management review materials. The contract represents a new requirement to replace previously government-performed engineering functions, with the goal of augmenting the government's organic engineering team and improving technical support capabilities.
