The contract period runs from date of award through November 15, 2028.

Distinctive requirements include compliance with an Emergency Fire Precaution Schedule with four operational stages tied to forest closure levels, including shutdown of power saws and mechanical fellers during Stage C (9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time) and shutdown of all operations except mineral soil road work during Stage D; mandatory road maintenance on 9.55 miles of National Forest roads per specified T-Specifications with no Forest Service compensation; removal restricted to trees 5 inches diameter and larger at breast height; snag decay class identification and selective harvesting protocols; erosion control and environmental protection measures; and Service Contract Act wage determination compliance (prevailing wages ranging from $13.75 to $26.81 per hour plus $5.55 fringe benefits for New Mexico counties).

A mandatory site visit occurred August 12, 2026. Amendment 001, issued August 24, 2026, added site visit notes and Q&A clarifying that Unit 3 is optional, log removal from Unit 2 must be fully suspended from inventoried roadless areas, and culverts and road materials must be provided by the offeror. Award will be firm-fixed-price on multiple line items if warranted.
