About this opportunity
The Federal Contract Opportunity is for the development of an Aeroacoustic Reproduction System (ARS) for the United States Air Force (USAF). The project is structured in five phases: Research and Analysis, Prototype Design, Development and Characterization Testing, Full Scale Design, Development, and Operational Assessment, End-User Employment Exercise, and System Refinement and Additional Builds. The contract will be awarded based on the best overall offer, considering technical approach/risk and cost/price, and is expected to be a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract.
Products and Services to be provided:
- Research and Analysis for the development of an Aeroacoustic Reproduction System (ARS).
- Prototype Design, Development, and Characterization Testing of the ARS.
- Full Scale Design, Development, and Operational Assessment of the ARS.
- End-User Employment Exercise for the ARS.
- System Refinement and Additional Builds for the ARS.
- Creation of training manuals and material for the ARS.
- Consideration of full life cycle support measures for the ARS.

In accordance with the attachments contained in this posting, the subject solicitation is being issued for the AFLCMC/XA Aeroacoustic Reproduction System (ARS) effort to develop a system to simulate the acoustic signature of an active airfield for immersive training scenarios.
The Government anticipates making an award to the Offeror who gives the Air Force the greatest confidence that it will best meet, or exceed, the requirements using the best value tradeoff method.
Please see attachments that provide details on the requirement, as well as the process for responding to this request for proposal.
