About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) has issued a Special Notice regarding their intent to award a single-source, firm fixed-price, non-personal services contract for the maintenance of the Biopoint Patient Identification Wristband System at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) in Murfreesboro, TN. Based on market research, the VA has determined that Advarra, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), is the only qualified and capable provider to perform the required services due to the proprietary nature of the system.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of the VA's intent to sole source this contract to Minburn Technology Group, who has a partnership with Advarra as the sole distributor of the Bio-Optronics system. Interested parties must respond by August 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM Central Time, providing information on their technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition, as well as a rationale for why they should be considered. The government reserves the right to verify any documentation submitted and will make a determination on whether to conduct a competitive procurement based solely on the responses received.
