About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking a contractor to fabricate antenna support structures for the FAALC NAS Beacon Antenna project under solicitation 6973GH-25-R-00209. The procurement involves manufacturing a beacon mast, two outriggers, an antenna support assembly, and associated components according to detailed engineering drawings, with all structures to be painted in international orange using specific aliphatic isocyanate urethane enamel coatings. The project aims to replace an existing FPS primary antenna reflector with a new stanchion structure capable of supporting a six-foot beacon antenna array while maintaining safe access for technician maintenance at the Monroe, OR Beacon Only site. The FAA intends to award a one-time, firm fixed-price contract to the lowest-priced, responsible offeror who meets the technical requirements. Proposals must be submitted via email to tamara.m.maxwell@faa.gov by 4:00 PM CST on August 14, 2025, with the complete solicitation number included in the subject line.

This procurement is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 332710 (Machine Shops) with a size standard of 500 employees, requiring all offerors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) as qualifying small businesses. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the solicitation materials, and no specific contract value or budget range is disclosed in the available documentation. The contractor must deliver the completed antenna support structure within 140 days after contract award, with the fabricated components to be shipped to the FAA Logistics Center in Oklahoma City for final installation. The place of performance for manufacturing activities is not specifically restricted, though the final delivery destination is Oklahoma City, OK 73169, and the antenna structure will ultimately be installed at the Monroe, Oregon beacon site. The project timeline aligns with the FAA's regularly scheduled 10-year FPS pedestal and antenna maintenance cycle, with an estimated 18-20 weeks required for complete fabrication and delivery.
