About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 8, Network Contracting Office 8 intends to solicit replacement of two commercial-grade laser or LED projectors at the Orlando VA Medical Center, with solicitation posting anticipated at a date to be determined. This procurement carries a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors).

The requirement stems from obsolescence of two Christie Model WU7K-M lamp-based projectors no longer supported by the manufacturer for parts and service. Lamp-based illumination technology drives higher operating costs, more frequent maintenance, and greater downtime than current laser or LED alternatives. The replacement solution must integrate seamlessly with existing Crestron control infrastructure and sustain audiovisual capability supporting clinical, educational, and administrative operations.

Market research identified multiple capable small business sources, including at least one authorized dealer of the anticipated original equipment manufacturer. All prospective offerors must be registered and active in SAM.gov at the time of offer submission and through contract award. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only; the Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation or award a contract and will not reimburse response costs.
