About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5 is conducting a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought for a projector screen replacement project at the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. The procurement involves removing the existing projector screen and installing a new 70" x 70" ceiling-mounted, motorized screen with white matte, ambient light-rejecting capabilities. The market research aims to identify capable firms, with a strong preference for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB). Interested firms must submit responses by 12:00 PM EST on April 8th, 2025, via email to james.ferro@va.gov, providing detailed company information, certifications, and capability statements. The government will use the submitted information to develop the requirement and acquisition strategy, with suggested NAICS code 334310 and PSC code 6730, though alternative classifications are welcome.
The solicitation does not specify a set-aside designation, indicating the potential for full and open competition. No incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documents. The procurement involves a single projector screen and installation, with the VA emphasizing that this is a market research effort and will not reimburse response preparation costs. The statement of work requires the selected vendor to provide all necessary tools, mounting hardware, and installation services, including removal and disposal of the existing screen and any installation debris. Vendors must also provide user manuals and ensure the new screen functions according to manufacturer guidelines. While no specific budget range is provided, the scope suggests a relatively small, straightforward procurement focused on equipment replacement and installation at the VA medical center.
