About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 15 is seeking a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for molecular testing and extraction supplies compatible with BD MAX instruments. The solicitation targets a Firm Fixed Price contract for three specific BD MAX products: Kit BD MAX ExK TNA 3, Kit BD SARS-CoV-2, and Cartridge BD MAX PCR. Vendors must submit quotes by April 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM CDT, with the intent of ensuring a continuously stocked inventory of high-quality reagents to support patient care operations. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed, the government will likely assess vendors based on product compatibility, pricing, and ability to meet supply requirements. The contract is structured to support molecular testing needs with a focus on reliable and timely product delivery.
This solicitation is designated as a 100% small business set-aside, limiting competition to qualifying small business vendors in the Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing sector (NAICS 334516). The contract will have a base year and three additional one-year ordering periods, covering the period from May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2030. Performance will be located in St. Louis, Missouri (ZIP 63106), specifically at the VA Medical Center. While exact award values are not specified, the government has estimated quantities for each product type, though these quantities are not guaranteed. The procurement aims to support critical medical testing capabilities by maintaining an adequate supply of specialized laboratory reagents and supplies essential for nucleic acid detection and extraction processes.
