About this opportunity

This Special Notice was published by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 1. The Notice communicates the agency's intent to award a sole source contract to Abbott Laboratories to supply i-STAT Point test cartridges for use at the Brockton VA Medical Center.

The Special Notice provides that the Brockton VA Healthcare System requires the i-STAT test cartridges for direct patient care, as not having them would slow down test results needed for critical services. Interested parties must submit capability statements by March 8, 2024 at 5:00pm EST to Molly Greening to be considered for this non-competitive award, with a NAICS code of 334516 and SBC size standard of 1,000 employees. No competitive solicitation will be issued for these medical test cartridges, as Abbott Laboratories is identified as the only available source able to meet the Brockton VA's needs to support timely testing for services like the cardiac cath lab and emergency room.
